One section comprises 21 Chansons Cote Dames arranged and illustrated by Jean Lapipe. Quartier - Ma itre a bord de la Petulante. The other section comprises 19 Chansons Cote Hommes illustrated & arranged by Jean Louis Postollec. Timonier a bord de la Finette. The 21 'Broadsides' from the Cote Dames depict the dreams and thoughts of the woman about her man while he is away at sea. These tend to be in a serious tone and portray her desires, fears, imaginations and hopes. On the other hand the 19 'Broadsides' on the Man's side while he is away at sea are of a risque nature. Each individual coloured 'Broadside' consists of a coloured front page wonderfully illustrating the diverse perspectives of the man and the woman. Inside each has further hand.cold ills, with the words and music of the songs which reflect the spirit of the respective moods. The songs are humourous and entertaining. The last page is blank. The set is complete and is attractively cased in its original folder. It is a limited edition number 36 of only 100 copies. Fine and scarce items such as this seldom come to market.
