Paperback. Zustand: New. Print on Demand. This book is a chronological overview of both Roman civil and canon law, providing a singular focus on marriage within these legal systems. The author presents a fascinating comparison of the similarities and differences between each system and how it defined and managed matters of marriage, divorce, and inheritance. The text also offers insightful interpretations of the associated legal complexities and ethical issues that arose due to the differing religious and social views of the time. Ultimately, this book offers an enthralling examination of how legal theories and their implementation in the law have differed and evolved over time in relation to the institution of marriage. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.…
