They are aided in their escape by Jacobi and it is in later life that Barney Sand hears of Jacobi's disappearance and risks everything to find him. The book has been read, but is in excellent condition. Pages are intact and not marred by notes or highlighting. The spine remains undamaged.

There are also some small chips and tears, the deepest of which is about 1/3", and a couple small water spots in lower right corner of the back panel.
