First edition (reissued in Sorlot the same year, the book was banned in 1940 by the occupation authorities. The author, who was born in 1882, was one of the founders of the "Revue des Temps Presents", worked for "L'Illustration", and wrote in "Le Matin" during the German occupation. This work examines the fate of Jews in different countries from the beginning, their emancipation in Europe, deals with Nazi anti-Semitism and the reactions to it abroad, but also with anti-Semitism in Italy and Hungary. He introduces Zionism, concluding that "Jewish emigration is a necessity, because half the Jewish population of the globe is confined to a relatively small area of Central Europe, where it lives a precarious existence, made all the more dangerous because of German persecution of the Jews. nouvelles de la vie littéraire sur 3pp de couverture.
